Can you imagine being filled with God’s Wisdom, God’s Peace, and God’s Love?  If you woke up every morning with those three gifts I am pretty sure it would be life changing. Knowing the right decision, having peace about your life and being joyful on top of it. The disciples of Jesus did not have an easy life once they got involved with Jesus and then taking over His ministry. As a matter of fact when you read about the adventures they had in the new testament you will see that they had it very hard. They were jailed, beaten, threatened and eventually all of them except John were killed for their beliefs. Yet, they lived life to the full because they were given God’s Wisdom, His Peace and His Joy.

I have found that when I spend time with God by reading the bible, praying and sometimes just taking a walk with him, my life is also filled with these three attributes. The secret is staying connected to the vine,  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

But there is something I have found even more amazing, and maybe is the best news of all, “You can pray these attributes into the lives of others!” As Christians, this is one of the most amazing and powerful things we can do for others. Begin praying for those who need God’s Wisdom, Peace, and Joy. Make it a daily habit. Lift up the people in your circle. Those are people God has put in your life for a reason and I can guarantee the reason isn’t so that you can bring them down further. Be a disciple and give what Peter did to the crippled man:

Acts 3:6-16

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Give what you already have been given, the ability to pray God’s wisdom, Peace and Joy into the lives of others and you can do this anytime anywhere. Start praying for people to receive these three powerful gifts and watch God do what only he can do. He will lift them up so they too can leap with Joy and Praise God.

See you soon. Love pastor kent
