There is something I learned a long time ago back in the mid 70’s while I was in College. I was reading everything I could get my hands on about God, Success, and the Power of the Mind. I was fascinated with Human potential and how it worked with God’s power. I learned that we are all telling ourselves a story. It is for the most part a made up story yet it has the power to either enhance our life or destroy our life. It is an invented story of who we are, what we are capable of, what we can do, what we can’t do, what we are good at, bad at, how we feel, if we approach life with enthusiasm and joy or if we approach life defeated, sad and withdrawn. Included in this made up story is how we think the world see’s us. Our story is basically dictating how we approach life every minute of every day in every circumstance. If our story is one of defeat, weakness, sorrow, and/or hopelessness, then that is pretty much what our life will reflect back to us in reality.

The good news is, you can change your story so that Life reflects blessing, hope, energy, joy and enthusiasm. It all starts in the mind. It is not easy but you can do a simple experiment to experience the power of this truth right now. Just take a minute and start repeating these words, with feeling and enthusiasm, “Today is the day the Lord has made, I am Glad, I am blessed,  and I am rejoicing in it!”  and “I am a child of God and I am loved and Blessed because of it!”  “I am Filled with the Love and Joy of God and I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me!”

There are many more you can add. The object is to start changing the story you are telling yourself from one of defeat and weakness to a one of power and energy. You are a child of God whether you believe it or not at this time and whether it feels like it or not. No matter what your circumstance, the story you are believing is either greatly hindering or improving your life experience. Change your story today. make it a mission. When you begin to believe your new story, your life will begin reflect the new belief.

We will gather next Sunday at Glik Park at 9:00am.
