I’m writing today’s blog on the road with Bonni. The more I study the better the Gospel gets because the Good News is for everyone! Jesus came to save you, your neighbor, your friends, your enemies, people you love and the ones you do not love. He came to bring the Kingdom of God to everyone. What organized religion has not been so good at is allowing the Good News to be the Good News.
The Good News is, Jesus defeated the worlds oldest enemy, death. Because of Jesus you and I and all those mentioned above can stop worrying about death and get on with life. In reality you have all of eternity, thanks to Jesus, to enjoy everything that you enjoy! There is no such thing as running out of time. There is no such thing as, “It’s too late!” or “I’m too old!” Because of Jesus, you are set free to live everyday to the absolute fullest even when things are kind of crappy because we have been set free of the restrictiveness of this life.
We do NOT meet tomorrow, Sunday the 24th. We will meet the following Sunday March 31st!
Please keep Joyce Koenig in your prayers. Her mother Gladys Wilkening passed away this past week. at age 84. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Monday March 25 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Hamel Il. We pray for God’s peace for the family.
