The effectiveness of our daily Christian life is determined by by our thoughts on God. How powerful we believe Him to be, His love for us, and maybe even more fundamentally, does He really exit? When our thoughts on God change, our Christian walk changes. The apostle Paul writes in Romans, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[a] And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”
If I don’t believe in something, for what ever reason, the likely hood of me trying it is about zero percent. That is why there is such a huge need for all believers to get involved in sharing Jesus with the lost. The power of believing in God, the bible, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is life changing! The institution of the church has it’s place but lost people are not coming to the church…at least rarely. We must go to them. Sticking an ad in the paper or having a great website is not going to bring lost people into the church because they don’t believe in the power that we talk about. People who don’t believe in God are not interested in the church. “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?” Church, that is our problem to solve, and it is a very huge problem. The need is great!
There is power in the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Life changing power! Read your bibles everyday because when you do you are planting God seeds into your life. Seeds that will someday grow and produce fruit. Pray, talk to God, seek God, live for God and watch the power of God unfold into your life! Amen.
Faye Heuchert is in need of volunteers for the summer TWIGS program which is delivering lunches to children in need this summer. Pete Fornof continue prayers for Pete as he is dealing with a very rare form of cancer and will be starting treatments.
Ken Bastholm continue prayers for Ken who is still in the hospital at Barnes but will be going to rehab recovering from heart attack and stroke. Emily, his daughter appreciates all of you who have been helping her with meals and rides.
Linda Cassens continue healing prayers for Linda who has been battling bladder cancer and continues treatments.
Pastor Jackie healing prayers as she continues her treatments for skin cancer and recovers from the surgeries.
Continued prayers and praises for Jennifer Kaburik and Cathy Watson as they both continue to recover from cancer.
Prayers for the music ministry that God will provide the right person or persons to come into our fellowship to help us worship the Lord with great music and prayers that God will guide our ministry to where and how He wants us to serve.
