A call for Christmas prayer! In all the busyness that this season puts on us, there is strength and peace, and wisdom available to you if you remember to take the time to go before God. I have seen the power of prayer many times in my life. But what about when we pray and do not see the power of God intervene or answer?  We are at a great disadvantage when it comes to our perspective verses the perspective of God. Our perspective is very finite and we have very limited knowledge and our time frame is short where God sees all, knows all, and is outside of our reference of time. What seems like a fatal blow to us maybe exactly what needs to happen from Gods infinite perspective. What looks like loss to us can be gain to God. What looks like failure to us may be complete victory in God’s perspective. The best example of this is the crucifixion of Jesus. What appeared to be a fatal blow to everything Jesus taught was actually the beginning of a world changing movement. I know how much I love my children and grandchildren. I would do anything to make sure my children are safe and blessed. God loves me and you more than I love my children, therefore I trust Him. It comes down to trust! Trust or faith comes from knowing God, and the way to get to know someone is to spend time with them. It’s relational. You are loved more that you know by someone who has the power to make all things new! Merry Christmas. It is Good News!

Our prayer concerns:

Cathy Watson’s mother Josephine Johnson passed away Tuesday morning. We lift Cathy and Gary and their family into the the hands of God’s peace and strength.

Alene Schuette, Alene is my aunt and she had a mild stroke this past week. She is home recovering but will need therapy. Please pray for Gods healing touch and His peace for her and my uncle Howard.

Hershel Prater  Hershel has been placed in hospice care.  Please continue to lift him in prayer for God’s peace and strength.

Kenneth Brodzinski, Alexis Tharp’s uncle has been diagnosed with throat cancer after going to the hospital for pneumonia.  God we ask for intervention, for peace, wisdom, and healing.

Willow, Mary and Lee Knapps great grand daughter only a couple of months old has had to have a feeding tube put in because she has not been able to eat because of a deformity in her palate. We pray for Gods healing hands on Willow and her family.

Faye Heuchert, please continue to pray for Faye as she continues to recover from her brain surgery.

Devin Meyers, Devin is a young man from Brighton who was involved in a very serious accident. He still needs our healing prayers.

Prayers to all people who are lonely, sad, depressed, fearful, unhappy, broken. May the truth and power of God come to you this Christmas season so that you may find peace and love.

Revival comes when people get dissatisfied with what is and yearn deeply for what could be! The power to change comes from prayer and the Holy Spirit. Prayer initiates the connection to God’s Kingdom and the Holy Spirit comes to direct and manage. Our part is to step out in faith and do what He directs us to do.

See you Sunday at 10:30. Love, pastor Kent
