This Sunday, October 21st, Praise Community Fellowship will have service at 10:30am at 800 North Main Street Edwardsville at the Immanuel United Methodist Church. I will be speaking on the power of the Psalms especially when things in life are causing us great pain. Our wonderful singers will be bringing us uplifting music and we will have a guest visiting us from Edwardsville Neighbors, one of our missions we help fund.

Gary Watson our board president will be addressing the congregation this Sunday and giving some updates on the future planning committee’s activity. I want to thank all the participants on this committee for the amazing energy and idea’s that are being developed. Gary will share more this Sunday. One of the things that I think is becoming apparent as this group is discussing our future is that Praise Community Fellowship is changing the way people think about church.

Do you enjoy singing? Then the Thursday night Raise the Praise Choir welcomes you. Our next get together will be Thursday November 1st at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. Come and be part of a wonderful group of people who love to praise God through music.

Past sermons are on line. Go to our website at https://praisecommunityfellowship.com and at the bottom of the home page you will see “Listen to Past Sermons. There is also a place to sign up for this blog. The blog is how we keep our family connected as to when and where things are happening. When you sign up for the blog it will come as an email. This is the best way to keep up on service schedules and other important PCF news.

The best source of spiritual guidance is the bible. The bible is better than any preacher or pastor because when you go directly to the bible God can speak wisdom directly to you about your exact circumstance. Sundays are a time of learning and I try to take scripture and make it relate to as many as possible. However, the best source of spiritual knowledge is received by reading the bible and praying to the Holy Spirit for understanding and guidance. God reveals wonderful knowledge to those who earnestly seek Him.

Prayers:

Walt Williams Walt is still in treatment and needs our prayers for strength and healing. He looks good but says that he is very tired and is having a hard time swallowing and therefore is not eating much. We lift Walt and Mary Ann as he continues his cancer treatments.

Ann and Mike Culp, please lift Ann, Mike, and Rick, Brent’s brother, up in prayer as they begin the healing process over the loss of Brent. Prayers for God’s peace and strength.

Hope to see you this Sunday, 10:30am. Love, pastor kent
