The pictures are some of the Zambian Children that we help support through African Vision of Hope. PCF and one of our church members recently sent funds there to help with an emergency feeding program due to a severe drought.

As a reminder, PCF will be meeting every week for the rest of the year at Immanuel Methodist Church located at 800 North Main Street Edwardsville. The gathering time is 10:30am.

Mark your Calendars: December the 8th, PCF will be having an after service catered meal in the fellowship hall in the basement of the Church. We are inviting our friends from Immanuel Methodist to come and join us. You can bring family and friends. We want this meal to be a celebration of all the good things God has done for us and our churches. We would like to get a head count so if you could text or email me how many will be joining us that would be greatly appreciated.

Paint the Town Gold:  We have learned that the young man who started this wonderful charity is now in need himself although he would never ask or talk about it.  So this Sunday we will be collecting a special offering to help him and his family. Andrea Wetzel Darbon will share a few minutes about his story and his needs after the sermon.

Beverly Farm Christmas Tree will be going up soon. We have provided Christmas gifts for some of the residents over the past few years and will continue that tradition.

An Idea! For some time I have been praying to God asking how we can reach more young people to bring into Gods family. At this past board meeting Savannah said she had joined a pregnant moms group on facebook and noticed that some of these young moms were in need of things for their baby. So I see this as a tremendous opportunity to reach out to these young mothers. If you would be interested in joining Savannah and I in a short meeting to brainstorm ideas on ways PCF could reach out and help these young mothers, please let me know. I see this a wonderful opportunity to expand Gods Kingdom. We will plan on having a meeting after church on November 3rd.

We may be having some visitors at our church soon. Let’s make sure we make all visitors feel very welcome. If you see someone new, please make sure they don’t sit alone, and make them feel like one of the family. It is hard to come to a small church where most everyone knows everybody. We want to grow our family so make sure you make all visitors feel like they are the most important person there. Ask them if they have any questions, show them where the restrooms are and make sure they know just how informal we are, ask them if they would like a coffee, if we have some! Share a little about our crazy group. Tell them that we are all volunteer, we don’t own a building, we are a church without walls, we meet at a park in the summer, and most important, just love them so that they have a wonderful experience.  I really want to emphasize that we should make it a point that they do not sit isolated and alone. If you happen to be the one that sits by a guest talk them through what is happening and how we do things. That can really help people feel more comfortable especially if they are not coming from a church back ground.

 Prayers:

Mary and Lee Knapp have a great grand daughter Willow who was born with some deformity in her palate and her mother Heather has also been diagnosed with a large tumor that needs to be removed right away. We lift both Willow and her mother to Gods healing hands.  We also want to lift Mary and Lee for Gods healing spirit to be with them for healing of back and joint pain.

Faye Heuchert, please continue to pray for Faye and Brad as Faye continues to heal from her brain surgery.

Pray for Gods wisdom for PCF as we get ready to enter our 9th year as a Christian Family. PCF the Church Without Walls!

See you Sunday at 10:30! Love, pastor kent
