This past week in my studies I came across this profound statement about the Bible. (To me it was profound!) The author Bob Bell writes, “The bible is not an argument!” Man I like that. His point being that too often the bible is used as a tool to prove an agenda or to prove a certain doctrine. The bible is a record of human experience. Bob goes on to say, “The point (of the bible) is not to prove that it’s the word of God or that it’s inspired or whatever the current word is that people are using. The point is to enter into its stories with such intention and vitality that you find what it is that inspired people to write these books.”

The bible is deeper than we can ever imagine. What I am finding immensely intriguing are the stories behind the bible stories from a Jewish cultural and belief perspective. It’s awakening. So I hope you are ready for a new journey. See you Sunday. Love, Kent
