Praise Community Fellowship will lead worship this Sunday at 8:45am at 800 North Main Edwardsville.
What Prayer Does. Prayer allows us to enter a power that exists outside of all natural laws and possibilities found in this world. Prayer taps into the Kingdom of Heaven where God exists and where His will is always done. Though we may not get the answer we are are expecting when we bring prayer into a circumstance, we can rest assured that we are using the most powerful tool in the universe. There are two responsibilities for us when we pray:
1.) To humble ourselves and to go to God with our utmost faith that He hears our prayers.
2.) To listen and be tuned in to Him for instructions as to our responsibility in the matter. In other words, “Do what the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do!”
Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 . “ Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Philippians 4:6 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Colossians 4:2 “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
We are still seeking TWIGS volunteers to help deliver lunches Monday thru Friday. It requires about an hour of your time. Please call Faye Heuchert at 618-444-5650 if you can help out now and then. Thank you.
